Pretzel Dip
TWO ingredient Pretzel Dip is simple, delicious, comes together in just a few minutes. It will for sure be your new “go to” snack, appetizer or side dish when that salty and sweet craving hits.
What’s good to dip pretzels in?
I know most of our minds go to a cheese sauce or some kind of mustard when we think about what to dip pretzels in. But this EASY pretzel dip will change that thought for you forever!
I hesitate to even call something a “recipe” when it only has TWO ingredients, but this dip is too dang good not to share. And it is so easy to whip up in just a few minutes, which is always a huge thumbs up in my book for busy weeknights.
The sweetness of the chili sauce mixed with the creaminess of the softened cheese, is the perfect compliment to the a salty pretzel twist. I have to serve it to my kiddos in individual little bowls because they literally lick them clean.
What do you need?
- chili sauce (I prefer this one)
- cream cheese
- pretzels (we like the tiny twists like these best)
- hand mixer
How do you make Pretzel Dip?
Take 4oz of cream cheese (either regular or lite work doe this recipe) and set it out on counter to soften for about 10 minutes.
Pro Tip: If you don’t want to wait that long, discard wrapper and place block of cheese in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for about 20 seconds. You want it to soften up a bit but not be melty.
Combine the cream cheese and 1/2 cup of chili sauce in a large bowl.
Mix with electric mixer until it has a smooth, creamy texture.
Transfer to a serving dish.
Serve with your favorite pretzels.
Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to one week.
What can you serve with Pretzel Dip?
Serve Pretzel Dip and either as a snack or appetizer on its own.
Tiny twist pretzels or pretzel sticks pair perfectly with this dip, but if you are looking to mix things up a bit, potato chips (especially the kind with the big ridges like these), and Sun Chips are both really good with it too!
So are fresh cut veggies like:
- carrots
- red bell pepper
- cucumber
- celery
- radishes
You can also use Pretzel Dip as a sandwich spread. Try it on a turkey sandwich with sliced apples or for breakfast on an english muffin with egg and sausage.
