Funfetti Cake Dip
If you tell me to “bring dessert” to a summer get together, chances are I’m bringing Funfetti Cake Dip. It tastes JUST like cake, is ready in 5 minutes, and it’s perfect served with fresh summer berries and cookies.
What is Funfetti Cake Dip?
One of my girlfriends brought this dip to a cabin weekend about 15 years ago, and the future of Summer get-togethers was permanently changed for me.
It’s basically like eating cake in the form of a dip. I serve it with strawberries or blueberries, and some Nilla Wafers or animal crackers for dipping.
This is my absolute, favorite EASY “go-to” treat to bring to parties, cabin weekends, BBQ’s, etc during the the warm months. It travels well, it’s easy to throw together (only 4 ingredients!), and both kids and adults devour it.
What ingredients do you need for Funfetti Dip?
- funfetti cake mix (like this)
- cool whip (like this)
- vanilla yogurt (like this kind or this kind)
- rainbow sprinkles (optional)
How do you make Funfetti Cake Dip?
In a large bowl, combine 4oz (half a container) of Cool Whip and two containers of Vanilla yogurt.
Pro Tip: If you like your dip sweet like actual cake, use a sweeter yogurt like Yoplait. If you want to cut the sweatiness a bit, use a Greek yogurt like Chiobani. Either option will turn out delicious.
Add 1.5 cups (approx half the box) of Funfetti cake mix.
Use an electric mixer and mix until everything is combined and there is no loose powder from the cake mix.
Transfer to a serving dish and top with rainbow sprinkles for some extra color.
Serve with fresh berries and small cookies like Nilla Wafers, graham crackers or animal crackers for dipping.
Store leftovers in fridge in an air-tight container for up to one week.
Can you make Funfetti Dip ahead of time?
Absolutely! The longer it sits and chills, the better it gets.
Go ahead and make this earlier in the day, or even the night before, but don’t add the sprinkles.
Then store in an airtight container, or in your serving dish covered with plastic wrap in the fridge.
Then once you are ready to serve, just top with the sprinkles, and you are good to go.
