This Homemade Taco Seasoning is quick and easy to make, and since its a perfect blend of spices to season your tacos, burritos, veggies and more, you will never buy store bought packets again.
1 air tight container with a lid jelly jars work great
Ingredients
1.5tchili powder
1.5tpaprika
1.5tonion powder
1tgarlic powder
1.5tcumin
1.5toregano
1tsalt
.5tblack pepper
Instructions
In a bowl or small airtight container like a jelly jar, combine 1.5 t chili powder, 1.5 t paprika, 1.5 t onion powder, 1 t garlic powder, 1.5 t cumin, 1 t salt and 1/2 t black pepper.
Put the lid on container and shake until the seasoning is fully combined.
Use immediately or store in a an airtight container in cool, dry place for up to 2 years.
Notes
This mixture makes approx 3T of seasoning or the equivalent of one packet of store bought taco seasoning.Use this entire amount to to season 1lb for ground beef or ground turkey for tacos. Simply brown the meat in a pan and drain of any access grease. Add the seasoning and 2/3 c water. Simmer for 5 mins to let the flavors fully season the meat.
