Equipment

  • 1 large bowl
  • 1 microwave safe bowl
  • parchment paper or tin foil

Ingredients

  • 3 cups HoneyComb cereal
  • 3 cups Kix cereal
  • 2 cups pretzels tiny twist
  • 2/3 cup peanuts dry roasted
  • 24 oz vanilla almond bark
  • 2/3 cup M&Ms pastel colors
  • 2 T sprinkles pastel colors

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine 3 cups of HoneyComb cereal, 3 cups of Kix cereal, 2/3 cup of peanuts and 2 cups of pretzels. Mix to combine.
  • In a separate, microwave safe bowl, melt 24oz of vanilla almond bark. (tip: I melt mine in the microwave for approx 60 seconds. If it's not quite melted, I add more time in 10-15 second increments. Keep and eye on it so it doesn't scorch.)
  • Pour the melted almond bark into the cereal mixture and thoroughly stir to combine. The melted almond bark will sink to the bottom of the bowl, so make sure you scoop it back up and get all of the contents equally coated.
  • On a flat surface, lay out parchment paper or tin foil. Pour the coated trail mix out of the bowl and onto the paper. Use the back of a spatula or large spoon to pat it down flat.
  • Top with 2/3 cup of pastel M&Ms and 2T of Easter sprinkles.
  • Let the trail mix dry on the flat surface for approx 10 minutes, This will make it nice an hard.
  • Use your hands to break it up into smaller chunks. Serve in a large bowl and let guests help themselves.
